Parade 2006

I really wanted to do something fun for the studio that I run and try an easy to get our name out there. I was doing some reasearch one afternoon and came across the Barnesville Pumpkin Festival and was trying to think of different wasy we could participate.

We (the portrait studio) ended up in the parade which had approximately 160 floats etc. and was televised on the local TV station. I was very excited to know that we took part in such a huge event.

We arrived at the parade line up around 11:30 which made me feel like we were really running behind since we had to put our entire float together there. All things considered I think we did pretty well.

By 1:15 we were rushing around to do the finishing touches of our float and to get ourselves in costume. But we made it.... we were totally finished with everything by around 1:35 and the parade started off around 1:50pm.

It was a lot of fun for all of us. My son and my associates daughter were on the float along with one of my associates. The three guys that help us out were wonderful as well. The assistant managers husband, brother in-law and my father in-law were absolutely the best !

In addition to us walking along side the float the kids threw candy out to the crowd and those of us that were walking passed out beaded necklaces with coupons on them.
