Time to recoupe
July 26, 2007
What a weekend ! I came home every day from Thursday through Sunday but holy cow am I tired after all of that.
Walking up and down each and every hill selling martigras beads and neon glow items, my goal was to have a great time there and make a bit of money ... preferably just enough to pay for college.
Thursday it was raining on and off, which everyone knows that its going to rain during Jambo. Happens every year. It was strange that this year had to of been the coolest year out there yet ! I think that even over the weekend with the sun it only got to the low 80's and the sun was shining so bright !
By Saturday morning I was so tired, I tried to make it there to start work by 10am but with out a doubt I ended up sleeping in and didn't get there until 11am. So I was still able to start work a little bit erlier than the second crew. I got started at 2pm and every night we got done around midnight.
Sunday I thought was going to be the worst day of all... seems the...

New Neighbors, New friends..
July 18, 2007
Well, I have of course met several of my neighbors by now and each has a different story of course. One neighbor in particular caught me off guard. A girl that I went to high school with lives just above me. It was a shock to see her living in the same apt. building that I do to begin with but then we started to talk.
In school I didn't talk to this girl all that much and really thought that she thought she was "better" than everyone else. I don't know where that thought came from, my perception of her maybe came from people that I thought she hung out with and the grades that I thought she got in school.
In school you always have your clicks and of course I was in my own little click of me myself and I. For me I didn't seem to really fit in anywhere and my grades were pretty bad. On the occaision I hung out with the kids that had less than I financially but I didn't fit in, I by no means fit in with the jocks / cheer leaders or the band geeks (as they were called). ...

Jamboree In The Hills....
July 17, 2007
The day is almost near.. Jamboree started last week with all of the campers pulling in and everyone ready to party. This Thursday, July 19th is the official start date of the Jamboree. This year I have decided to work it agian. LOL I am too cheap to buy tickets so I'll work it and make a bit of money while I get to see all the entertainment.
*BIG SIGH*
Less than 2 more days now.
If you don't know what Jamboree in the hills is.. just do a google search for it. I guess I'd have to say its the Woodstock of country music. Its awsome even if you don't party or like country music.

Oglebay....
July 17, 2007
I crawl out of bed pretty early today and am trying to decide what I want to do. I know that I don't want to sit around the house with the kids again today but I also don't have any money to go out and do anything.
Thommy and I talk and we decide to go to Oglebay Park. Its only about 15min. away from us and we always have fun when we go over there. Thommy ran over to my mom's house for something and he returns with money she had given him so we could go play put-put golf or something.
I gather up all the kids, pack a picnic lunch and by noon we are ready to leave the house.
We get to Oglebay and check out the pricing for the zoo. Thommy and I decided to go to the zoo and seemed that all of the kids enjoyed it. Gavin found "Nemo" (a clown fish), "Dorey" (what ever kind of fish she is), and "Nemo's Dad" (aka another clown fish). We got to see some merekats, a bear, fish of all sorts, snakes, frogs, birds that were hand fed, 2 really cute little monkeys, a sloth,...

Just One of Those Days....
July 5, 2007
So I wake up first thing in the morning and open up the window to see what appears to be a beautiful day ahead. Not a cloud in the big blue sky and only the slighest of a breeze. I decided to spread my wings and attempt to enjoy a days flight in the beautiful sun.
My wings are many shades just as my personality. Red, blue, green, a light shade of purple, and flourescent pink among others. As I fly through the wilderness my wings do me no good as camoflauge due to the bright colors that tend to attract attention from various creatures.
As I am flying along I am noticed by some humming birds playing in the trees. They invite me over to play a game of tag although I should have known better from the start I joined in there game anyway. They were so quick and just as you'd think you were going to tag one of them they'd seem to jump right out the way and I'd miss. I played till it was time for me to find some lunch. I thanked them for inviting me play in there wonderful game of tag and went on...
